The Withies in Withies Lane is a charming and traditional establishment, set in a 16th Century building, thought to have been a pair of cottages, many years ago. It is now a fabulous, quaint and rather famous old eating haunt. People travel quite some distance to wine and dine here, so booking is recommended. In the summer it is possible to eat outside, under the shelter of the trees. In the evening you may either dine by candle light or by the light from the moon and the stars and the odd lantern, if you prefer an alfresco approach.

August 2014 the Withies was used as the setting for scenes in the film 'The Man who knew Infinity' starring actor Jeremy Irons. It is set in 1913. See if you can recognise any familiar faces from the scenes below!
