Muddy Church. A space for all for wandering & wondering with God, for all the family, on the first Sunday of each month in term time.

Fledglings. Out toddler group meets at Pucks Oak Barn on Monday mornings from 9am in term time. Contact fledglingscompton@gmail.com.

Inside Out meets Saturday 3 October, 10am-12 noon to keep the church & churchyard looking good. Just turn up or contact wardens@stnicholascompton.org.

Bell Ringing. Sunday service ringing 9.50am-10.30am (1st Sunday only 5.30pm-6pm). Bell ringing practice alternate Tuesdays, 10am-12pm. Practice sessions can also be arranged at other times to suit those who cannot manage a weekday morning. Contact phil.gorton@btinternet.com.

Try church bell ringing at St Nicholas Church

If you fancy trying something completely different come and learn to ring our newly refurbished bells and discover a hobby that keeps both brain and body active. No previous experience is needed. New starters can be from about 10 years old and up! Our instructors are DBS checked. If you have rung before, then why not consider refreshing these skills.

Once described as 'The most interesting church in the county' by H Alderman in The Charm of Old Surrey and as “Surrey’s flagship Norman Church” by Simon Jenkins in England’s Thousand Best Churches.

The church is open daily to welcome worshippers, visitors and pilgrims as it has done for nearly one thousand years.

Regular Services

Sunday Eucharist: 2nd, 3rd, 4th Sundays at 10.30am
All are welcome to our Sunday worship! Join our church family of all ages as we sing, pray, explore the Bible and share Holy Communion. Followed, of course, by excellent coffee & biscuits.

Holy Communion (1662): First Wednesday of the month at 10.30 followed by refreshments in the church
A calm, mid-week service using the traditional words of the Book of Common Prayer, followed by coffee and biscuits

Choral Evensong: 1st Sunday of the month at 6 pm
A contemplative sung service - all are welcome - come just to listen or join us in our songs of worship...
