What an amazing day! Perfect weather. Large crowds throughout the afternoon enjoying all the attractions and sampling
the food and drink. Things to buy, things to win, things to make, things to join in. Never a dull moment, and at the end of
the day about 100 helpers went home, happy and exhausted! And then to crown it all, the profit for the afternoon was a
record! Subject to a few minor changes, the amazing sum of £11,522 was the result. (The previous record was
£11,244 in 2014.) A number of new stalls and attractions added to the fun – Bungee Bouncer, Maggot Racing and a
Greyfriars Vineyard stand selling their delicious Sparkling Rosé. Many stalls made a record amount. Among them, Jon Maslin would like to thank everyone who contributed so generously to the Bottle Tombola which surpassed itself this year.
Here are the details, with last year’s figures in brackets. Figures in bold underlined indicate a record for that particular
stall.
