The Village Hall by John Bartlett Directed by Jo Ayshford and Rhona Wilkie AUDITIONS: Sunday 29th June at 7 pm in Compton Village Hall Performances: Thursday 2nd, Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th October

The hallowed institution- the Village Hall - scene of unparalleled local country dramas, is the setting for these three comedy plays. Each play features one or two main characters and their particular use of the Hall: A Jumble Sale, the Amateur Dramatics group and the Scouts’ Gang Show. The main roles in each of these are supported by other characters who are initially introduced as minor roles until they turn up in other plays.

The characters should be colourful, eccentric and larger than life, all playing out their own personal agenda. They do not necessarily get on with each other, rather they tolerate village life for the good of the community. Also needed are people for various non-speaking roles. There is plenty of scope for everyone.

The cast consists of:

Mr Wrankin - Caretaker of the Hall.
